CAN YOU OFFER A TEMPORARY HOME TO ONE OR TWO OF OUR GREYHOUNDS AND HELP THEM TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE AND A FOREVER HOME?
Fostering is a long term process and will be for a minimum of three months. We will home the greyhound from their foster home so anyone interested will need to be committed to this process.
Fostering a greyhound can give great joy and happiness and a feeling of satisfaction knowing that you have helped one of these special, kind and loving dogs into a brighter future.
Some of the greyhounds in our foster programme may have some problems (which of course we will discuss with you), whilst some are more elderly than others and some of them are longer term residents.
Could you foster one of our greyhounds?
Have you got space for a greyhound in your life?
Could you commit to sharing your home with a greyhound on a long term basis 6 weeks or more?
Do you already own a greyhound? Ii there space for another grey in your home?
Are you an experienced greyhound owner?
Just remember you are never too old to own or foster or own a greyhound.
THE FOSTERING PROCESS
Initially get in touch with us and we will take you through the simple process to foster.
We will send you an information pack and a DVD to help you care for your new friend.
If you don’t already own a greyhound we would carry out a home check (not scary just chat and a cuppa), to ensure that you have the right environment for a greyhound.
There are a number of ways in which we can support you when fostering.
Complete a form to ensure that you will take care of the greyhound whilst the dog is in your care.
We will pay any veterinary fees
Pay for food whilst the greyhound is in your care.
We have a support network to communicate on a regular basis.
If anyone is interesting in fostering one of our greyhounds please contact John or Judith on 01636 822032 or email Judith on Judith@rgtmidlands.co.uk
